Farhang Haddad Farshi
Senior Theorist
Farhang obtained his PhD from Imperial College London, where his research focused on the modeling, optimization, and control of open quantum systems within the framework of quantum information processing. His work specifically involved the development of analytical control techniques aimed at enhancing the performance of trapped ion-based entangling gates, accounting for the effects of dissipative processes.Subsequently, during his postdoctoral tenure at the University of Oxford, he broadened his research scope to include numerical simulations and the design of optimal control algorithms for applications in space missions. More recently, as a research associate at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, he had been investigating the conceptual foundations of quantum computation, particularly its intersections with quantum field theory and thermodynamics. Currently a Senior Theorist at Nu Quantum, his primary focus is on providing theoretical analyses of the quantum dynamics that underpin quantum networked systems.
