Roland is the Group lead of Nu Quantum’s AMO team. He has 10 years + of experience in ion-trapping and has worked in leading ion-trapping groups (ETH Zurich, Singapore, Waterloo and NQCC). He has made outstanding contributions to the field of quantum simulation and quantum computation, reporting world-leading results where the fidelity of the qubit read-out and the level of unwanted cross-talk was on par with the performance demonstrated by internationally recognized trapped-ion quantum computing companies such as Quantinuum in Nat. Phys. 18, 1074 (2022), and AQT in PRX Quantum 2, 020343 (2021).
